As we observe World Ozone Day 2024, we also recognize its significant contributions to climate action. The global commitment to phasing out ozone-depleting substances has not only aided in the restoration of the ozone layer but has also emerged as an effective strategy for mitigating climate change. This collective effort has delayed the onset of an ice-free Arctic summer by as much as 15 years, showcasing the interconnectedness of ozone protection and climate stability. On this day, we celebrate these achievements and reaffirm our commitment to continued action for a healthier planet.
