International Mountain Day is celebrated every year on 11 December 2023. This year The theme “Restoring mountain ecosystems” is a chance to increase awareness about the relevance of mountain ecosystems and call for nature-based solutions. Mountains cover about 27 percent of the earth’s land surface, which provide freshwater to 50% of the world's population. To mark the importance of Restoring Mountain Ecosystem and for mass awareness EIACP Programme Centre, Wildlife Institute of India oganized various sessions for the students of Graphic Era and Doon University.
