The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India is hosting World Environment Day, 2018 at global level in collaboration with UN Environment. The theme for this year’s World Environment Day Celebrations is "Plastic Pollution”.
The ENVIS Centre “Wildlife and Protected Areas” at Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is taking some initiatives to celebrate this occasion and to spread awareness on this issue among the younger generation. WII-ENVIS Centre is organizing an ‘On the Spot Painting and Poster Making Competition’ along with an ‘Exhibition’ related to the theme at the Institute on Wednesday, 25th April, 2018 (9:30 am to 12:30 pm). Local schoolchildren would be invite to participate in this event.
